When Fashion Meets BUMP!

Hey there darlings! Let me start by saying it’s been a while! Yes it’s been a good long time I wrote a blog and you would know the reason if you are following me on my Instagram. But hey hey! I never miss posting on my Instagram for y’all. So let me run you through what’s been going on. I am beyond excited to announce that We’re Pregnant!!! Y’all know I am an open book so this secret was extremely hard to keep from you guys! It is so hard to keep something a secret that you are soooo happy about. And guess what I’m so close to my due date already. Let me also tell you that this blog has been sitting in my drafts from quite a while and I’m so glad it finallyyy made it to my website. Life has been so blessed and I’m enjoying the most of my ♥ baby bump ♥

Now getting straight to the point. I wanted to write a fashion blog on “how to dress your bump” ever since I conceived. So here we go! Believe it or not, a lot of women think they can’t dress up nicely while they are pregnant. It’s the beauty of your baby bump which makes any dress look pretty on you. Whether you show the bump or hide the bump it really doesn’t matter. You don’t have to feel like you have to suddenly loose your identity. I have never felt so confident as I do when I am pregnant.

I always believe in effortless style. So here I am rounding up a few outfits that I wore through my pregnancy journey. They are nothing short of being Comfortably Chic! Sorry I could not include many else the blog would have been too lengthy. There are a few brands I’ve majorly relied on for the most comfortable outfits through all three trimesters. Zara being one of them. What’s better than a brand who launches maternity section right at the time when you are expecting. Best thing is that Zara’s mantra is the same as mine. To be able to wear maternity clothes anytime of the year and even when you are not pregnant!! Could anyone ask for more? Honestly speaking I did not shop a lot of maternity clothes because trust me you can create so many styles with the non-maternity stuff out there. Let’s see how!

♥ FIRST TRIMESTER BABY ♥
Baby M did not start showing up until the end of 4th month. So my 1st trimester pretty much went in shooting for various blogs that I’ve written so far in my non-maternity outfits. This fuchsia pink dress from ASOS is one of my favorites (still available HERE). A perfect party wear when accessorized with dazzling necklaces. If you know me by now you would know that I’m a sucker for high quality clothes. This one scores a 💯 points cuz it is so rich in color and fabric. With a big dramatic sleeve on one side and knotted up on the other side, I sure took a lot of compliments home!

♥ SECOND TRIMESTER BABY ♥
Hello Baby M! We went on our baby-moon to Canada for a good long 10 days. What a relaxing time and we checked out 4 beautiful cities – Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City and Niagara falls. I will tell you guys what it’s like to travel internationally when expecting. Just make sure that you are not traveling internationally in your 3rd trimester when you’ve already gained a good amount of weight. Carry enough stretchable dresses along with comfortable sneakers. Crossbody bags are the best to travel light. This one’s a non-maternity striped midi dress from Zara. Super stretchy and soft fabric. It kept me cool during those summer months and is also a great fit for Fall and Spring.
SHOP MY LOOK Next outfit is a wine red ZARA knit jumpsuit which is also my most worn outfit. Again from the non-maternity section! Starting from 1st, I’ve styled this jumpsuit through my 3rd trimester just cuz it is soooo versatile and flattering. I wouldn’t say it is lightweight but it is definitely very very stretchable. Pair it with matching tassels or gold accessories and you are set for a night out. I decided to wear it with a straw hat during my travels to keep the sun at bay.  SHOP MY LOOK

♥ THIRD TRIMESTER BABY ♥
My baby bump was rounder and bigger. Here are 4 outfits I enjoyed carrying the most.

♥ Maternity Look#1
My #1 vote goes to this layered outfit I recently styled. A long ribbed knit dress (available HERE) with a long printed coat paired with my favorite heart-shaped sunglasses and an embellished beret! (HERE) Bow-tie mules completed this look as they are super comfortable for long walks. Bought from Nordstrom this summer, these mules have become my everyday staple. Not so much of an all-black outfit but pretty crisp for the upcoming winters.

Maternity Look #2
If you fancy going on a Christmas party, a winter wedding or even baby shower then this look is for you! The same midi knit dress paired with a chunky statement necklace. Knit dresses are perfect for the cooler weather and are bump-friendly like no other. They may not be as dressy but when paired with the right accessories they are a game changer!

Maternity Look #3
High-waist black maternity jersey pencil skirt with tucked in white t-shirts are something you can wear over and over again to flaunt your brew-ump. Even though these are from the maternity section, they will fit just perfectly postpartum as well. The story behind this pineapple is that that’s the size of my baby when this picture was clicked.

Maternity Look #4
Black netted maxi gown from Asos with a printed long coat paired with multi-colored danglers makes for a perfect look in the festive season. These danglers add just the right amount of drama to this all-black outfit.
SHOP MY LOOK Hope you all enjoyed my pregnancy looks as much as I loved dressing them up. Hope you find this blog useful! If you are pregnant just remember that when it comes to dresses all you need to worry about is if the fabric is stretchy enough and where does the dress sit – drop waist dresses are difficult after all you want to find the most flattering shape for your bump and if its super floaty then add a belt under the bump!

Until next time…
